Broken Windows, A 9/11 poem
From my windows,
You could see all over the city
From my windows,
You could watch birds fly
Then one day,
A bird came to close
It's metal wings crashed
With my metal walls
My window's lay in a pile
Rubble, Dust and Metal
Human lives and tears
All mixed together
America didn't have to suffer
It's ironic what comes from a grudge
Starts as an idea
Ends with Broken Windows
You could see all over the city
From my windows,
You could watch birds fly
Then one day,
A bird came to close
It's metal wings crashed
With my metal walls
My window's lay in a pile
Rubble, Dust and Metal
Human lives and tears
All mixed together
America didn't have to suffer
It's ironic what comes from a grudge
Starts as an idea
Ends with Broken Windows
